World Class attends ARPA

A World Class representative is in Jonesboro, Arkansas for the Arkansas Recreation and Park Association's 2007 Annual Conference.

The ARPA Annual Conference is the Association’s premier event, bringing together over 200 parks and recreation professionals from throughout Arkansas for three days of educational sessions, off-site tours, networking, entertainment and product information.

The conference will be February 28 - March 2 at the Holiday Inn in Jonesboro.
 

World Class headed to KAFMO

World Class Athletic Surfaces is once again sending a representative to attend the Keystone Athletic Field Managers Organization's (KAFMO) 11th annual athletic field conference in Harrisburg, PA on February 16.

This year's event will feature Dr. A.J. Powell, University of Kentucky, and Mr. Steve LeGros, Rochester Rhinos Soccer, discussing the costs and maintenance considerations of synthetic playing fields. Other seminar topics include: Infield Maintenance; Mowing; Diseases; Calibration; and a look back at last year's challenges.

The conference will also feature a trade show with products and services designed for the sports turf industry along with the annual awards program that will highlight the accomplishments of KAFMO members by presenting the "Field of Distinction" Award, the Founders Award, and the Harper/Waddington Scholarships.
 

DuBois re-elected to STMA Board

Tra DuBois, president and founder of World Class Athletic Surfaces in Leland, Mississippi, has been re-elected to the board of the Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA). DuBois will continue as Vice-President - Commercial.

DuBois attended the University of Mississippi and Belhaven College on a tennis scholarship. Prior to founding World Class, Tra worked for Teni-Trak, Inc. in the sports facility construction business.

He has been an STMA member since 1990, and served on the STMA Board representing the Commercial category in 2004 and 2005. In 2006, he held the Vice President-Commercial position and with this election will finish his final term in 2007. He co-chaired the Conference Exhibition Committee in 2004, 2005 and 2006, and participated on the Networking Committee in 2004. Tra is active in his community and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Leland United Methodist Church, and the Board of the Leland Chamber of Commerce. He is married to Margaret and has three children, Scott, Leah, and John.
 

World Class attends SMA
February 5, 2007


Representatives from World Class Athletic Surfaces are in Key West, Florida for the 33rd annual Stadium Managers Association convention. Over 130 stadium managers will be on hand for the five-day event.
 

World Class attends National Sports Forum
January 29, 2007


Representatives of World Class Athletic Surfaces are in Los Angeles from Sunday, January 28 to Wednesday, January 31 for the 2007 National Sports Forum. If you are attending this event, please visit us at booth #47.
