World Class Athletic Surfaces is heading to San Antonio this week for the Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) Conference & Exhibition. World Class will be exhibiting at booth #335. Tra DuBois, company president, also serves as the commercial vice president on the STMA board of directors.
 

Jay Warnick, CSFM, is the newest member of the World Class Athletic Surfaces team.

Warnick’s responsibilities will include new market development and management of a new western U.S. distribution center for World Class.

Warnick was formerly the Grounds Supervisor at Brigham Young University -Idaho. Prior to BYU-Idaho, Warnick was the Director of Fields for the Seattle Seahawks, the Athletic Field Manager for the University of Utah, and the Assistant Field Manager for the Baltimore Ravens. He became a Certified Sports Field Manager in 2002, and was recertified in 2005.

Warnick holds a B.S. in Horticulture from Utah State University. He was a member of the founding group that started the Sports Turf Managers Association's Pacific Northwest Chapter. He has been a member of STMA for nine years, a board member, and has served as the Board Liaison to the Chapter Relations Committee and the Bylaws Committee.

He and his wife Emily live in Rexburg, Idaho with their three children: Logan, Katelyn and Spencer.

“I am excited to be a part of the World Class family,” Warnick said. “Over the years, as an Athletic Field Manager, I have been give great service, help in maintaining a better playing field, and above all respect by those at World Class. It is my intention to now offer that same treatment to Field Managers everywhere.”
